It is proposed to amend Article 6 of the | 0018| constitution of New Mexico by adding a new Section 39 to read: | 0019| "Neither the supreme court nor any inferior court of the | 0020| state shall have the power to instruct or order the state or | 0021| political subdivision or an official of the state or political | 0022| subdivision to levy or increase taxes." | 0023| Section 2. The amendment proposed by the resolution shall | 0024| be submitted to the people for their approval or rejection at | 0025| the next general election or any special election prior to that | 0001| date which may be called for that purpose. |
