0012| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PAYMENT OF PER DIEM FOR THE

0013| MEMBERS OF THE LEGISLATURE, FOR THE COMPENSATION OF EMPLOYEES OF
|
0014| THE LEGISLATURE, FOR THE LEGISLATIVE EXPENSE OF SUPPLIES,
|
0015| EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES AND FOR THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL SERVICE;
|
0016| DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
|

0018| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0019| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--
|
0020| A. For the expense of the first special session of
|
0021| the forty-second legislature, there is reauthorized and
|
0022| appropriated from the unexpended cash balances remaining from
|
0023| the appropriation for legislative session expenses set forth in
|
0024| Subsections A, C, E and G of Section 2 of Chapter 1 of Laws 1993
|
0025| the following:
|
0001| (1) for the expense of the house of
|
0002| representatives, one hundred twenty-nine thousand nine hundred
|
0003| seventy-one dollars ($129,971) to be disbursed on vouchers
|
0004| signed by the speaker and the chief clerk of the house of
|
0005| representatives;
|
0006| (2) for the expense of the senate, one hundred
|
0007| twenty-six thousand seven hundred forty-one dollars ($126,741)
|
0008| to be disbursed on vouchers signed by the chairman of the
|
0009| committees' committee and the chief clerk of the senate; and
|
0010| (3) for the expense of the legislative council
|
0011| service, the joint billroom and the legislative switchboard,
|
0012| seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to be disbursed on
|
0013| vouchers signed by the director of the legislative council
|
0014| service.
|
0015| B. Following adjournment of the first special
|
0016| session of the forty-second legislature, expenditures authorized
|
0017| in this act shall be disbursed on vouchers signed by the
|
0018| director of the legislative council service.
|
0019| Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
|
0020| peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
