0002| RELATING TO CAPITAL EXPENDITURES; MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO PURCHASE

0004| MEDICAL CENTER LOCATED IN COLFAX COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0006| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0007|      Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--
    |
0008|           A.  Three hundred forty-six thousand five hundred forty-
    |
0009| three dollars ($346,543) is appropriated from the miners' trust fund
    |
0010| to the miners' Colfax medical center for expenditure in fiscal years
    |
0011| 1997 through 2001 for the following purposes:
    |
0012|                (1)  thirty-one thousand dollars ($31,000) to purchase
    |
0013| a bone densitometer; and 
    |
0014|                (2)  three hundred fifteen thousand five hundred
    |
0015| forty-three dollars ($315,543) to make mechanical improvements to the
    |
0016| miners' Colfax medical center.
    |
0017|           B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the
    |
0018| end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the miners' trust fund.
    |
0019|      Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0020| peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.    
    |
