  Mr. Speaker:
  
       Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to
  whom has been referred
  
                  HOUSE BILL 240, as amended
                               
  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
       
       1.  On page 1, line 19, strike "endorse the viability of a
  particular" and insert in lieu thereof "make a recommendation to use
  a".
       
       2.  On page 1, line 20, before "or" insert "in a manner
  inconsistent with its label directions".
       
       3.  On page 2, line 3, insert a new subsection:
       
            "C.  Nothing contained in this section shall be construed
  as a limitation on the state to provide information to consumers on
  hazardous waste disposal.".
