0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AFFAIRS

0012|     FOR THE PURPOSE OF GRANTING TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS

0013|     WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE NEW MEXICO ARMY NATIONAL GUARD AND NEW

0014|     MEXICO AIR NATIONAL GUARD.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($700,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     department of military affairs for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0020|     1998 for the purpose of granting tuition scholarships to
    |
0021|     students who are residents of New Mexico and who are active
    |
0022|     members of the New Mexico army national guard and the New
    |
0023|     Mexico air national guard.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0024|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert
    |
