0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC

0012|     EDUCATION FOR A STUDENT MOTIVATION AND DROPOUT PREVENTION

0013|     PROGRAM IN THE SANTA FE SCHOOL DISTRICT.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0018|     department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1998 for personnel, training and materials for a student
    |
0020|     motivation and dropout prevention program in the Santa Fe
    |
0021|     school district.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0022|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
    |
0023|     general fund.
