A new section of the New Mexico Food Act is | 0016| enacted to read: | 0017| "[NEW MATERIAL] DONATED GAME MEAT PRODUCTS--EXEMPTION.- | 0018| - | 0019| A. The provisions of the New Mexico Food Act shall | 0020| not apply to wild game meat products that have been donated by | 0021| hunters, taken to a commercial meat processor for preparation | 0022| and delivery to charitable, religious or other nonprofit | 0023| organizations and distributed for human consumption at no | 0024| charge to homeless or other indigent individuals. | 0025| B. For purposes of this section, "wild game" means | 0001| deer, elk, antelope, caribou, ibex, oryx and Barbary sheep. | 0002| C.
