APPROPRIATION.--Eighty-eight thousand dollars | 0017| ($88,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state | 0018| department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year | 0019| 1998 for the purpose of contracting for the provision of | 0020| outreach programs, school volunteer programs, community field | 0021| trips and creative classroom projects for the Santa Fe public | 0022| schools; provided that the state department of public education | 0023| shall contract with an organization that provides educational | 0024| services to public schools and that has been granted an | 0025| exemption from federal income tax by the United States | 0001| commissioner of internal revenue as an organization described | 0002| in Section 501 (c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue | 0003| Code of 1986, as amended or renumbered. Any unexpended or | 0004| unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 | 0005| shall revert to the general fund. | 0006| - 2 - |
