0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY FOR COURT COSTS INCURRED BY THE

0012|     THIRD JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT RESULTING FROM THE STREAM AND
    |
0013|     GROUND WATER ADJUDICATION OF THE LOWER RIO GRANDE BASIN;
    |
0014|     DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the third
    |
0019|     judicial district court for expenditure in fiscal years 1997
    |
0020|     and 1998 for the purpose of paying for court costs incurred as
    |
0021|     a result of the stream and ground water adjudication of the
    |
0022|     lower Rio Grande basin.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0023|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
    |
0024|     general fund.
    |
0025|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0001|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
