0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STUDENT-BASED RECRUITING AND

0012|     MARKETING PROGRAM AT EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY; DECLARING

0013|     AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand five hundred
    |
0017|     fifty dollars ($50,550) is appropriated from the general fund
    |
0018|     to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university for
    |
0019|     expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of
    |
0020|     expanding a student-based recruiting and marketing program to
    |
0021|     increase the number of freshmen entering the university
    |
0022|     annually.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0023|     the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0024|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0025|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.                       State of New Mexico
