0011| RELATING TO STATE PROPERTY; CREATING THE PROPERTY CONTROL

0012| RESERVE FUND; PROVIDING FOR ADMINISTRATION OF THE FUND; MAKING

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0016| Section 1. PROPERTY CONTROL RESERVE FUND--CREATED--
|
0017| PURPOSE--BOARD OF FINANCE APPROVAL FOR EXPENDITURES.--The
|
0018| "property control reserve fund" is created in the state
|
0019| treasury. The purpose of the fund is to provide a reserve
|
0020| account from which the property control division of the general
|
0021| services department can purchase or construct state office
|
0022| buildings, in particular to alleviate the state's reliance on
|
0023| expensive leased office space in Santa Fe. The fund shall
|
0024| consist of appropriations, money from the sale of real property
|
0025| under the control of the division, gifts, grants, donations,
|
0001| bequests and income from investment of the fund. Money in the
|
0002| fund shall not revert to the general fund at the end of any
|
0003| fiscal year. The division shall administer the fund. Subject
|
0004| to the approval of the state board of finance, money in the
|
0005| fund is appropriated to the division to purchase or acquire
|
0006| land and construct state office buildings in Santa Fe.
|
0007| Disbursements from the fund shall be made on warrant drawn by
|
0008| the secretary of finance and administration pursuant to
|
0009| vouchers signed by the director of the division or his
|
0010| authorized representative.
|
0011| Section 2. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred forty-three
|
0012| thousand five hundred dollars ($243,500) is appropriated from
|
0013| the general fund to the property control reserve fund for
|
0014| expenditure in fiscal year 1998 and subsequent fiscal years, to
|
0015| provide a reserve account from which the property control
|
0016| division of the general services department can purchase or
|
0017| construct state office buildings. Any unexpended or
|
0018| unencumbered balance remaining at the end of the end of any
|
0019| fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
