0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE EAST MESA LOOP BETWEEN U.S.

0012|     HIGHWAY 70 AND INTERSTATE 10 IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0017|     highway and transportation department for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0018|     year 1998 for the purpose of acquiring rights-of way and
    |
0019|     conducting environmental and archeological studies for the East
    |
0020|     Mesa loop connecting U.S. highway 70 with interstate 10 at the
    |
0021|     Mesquite interchange in Dona county.  Any unexpended or
    |
0022|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0023|     shall revert to the general fund.
