  Mr. Speaker:
  
       Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                       HOUSE BILL 1231
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
       1.  On page 1, lines 19 and 20, strike "the stealing of a dog
  that belongs to another person" and insert in lieu thereof "larceny
  of a dog".
  
       2.  On page 2, line 1, strike "two hundred fifty dollars
  ($250)" and insert in lieu thereof "one thousand dollars ($1,000)".
  
       3.  On page 2, line 3, strike "two hundred fifty dollars
  ($250)" and insert in lieu thereof "one thousand dollars ($1,000)"., 
  
  and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE
  COMMITTEE.
