0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR HOMELESS OR

0012|     MENTALLY ILL VETERANS AND NON-VETERANS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the mental
    |
0017|     health division of the department of health for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of providing or
    |
0019|     contracting for referral, job placement, housing services or
    |
0020|     supportive social services for homeless or mentally ill
    |
0021|     veterans and non-veterans.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0022|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert
    |
0023|     to the general fund.
    |
0024|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0025|     peace, health and safety that this act take place immediately.                       State of New Mexico
