0025| RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE;

0001| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CUARTOCENTENNIAL COMMEMORATIVE

0002| CELEBRATION.

0004| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0005| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars
|
0006| ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board
|
0007| of regents of the university of New Mexico for the center for
|
0008| regional studies at the university of New Mexico for
|
0009| expenditure in fiscal years 1998 and 1999 for the purpose of
|
0010| planning, initiating and partially implementing an
|
0011| informational and educational cuartocentennial commemoration,
|
0012| to celebrate the four hundredth anniversary of the founding of
|
0013| New Mexico through historical and educational presentations.
|
0014| Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
|
0015| fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
