0011| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF A NATIVE AMERICAN

0012| ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAM IN BERNALILLO COUNTY;

0013| DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred eighty-one
|
0017| thousand seven hundred dollars ($281,700) is appropriated from
|
0018| the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in
|
0019| fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of contracting for
|
0020| an alcohol and substance abuse program operated for and by
|
0021| Native Americans and to include traditional and cultural
|
0022| modalities of treatment, in Bernalillo county. Any unexpended
|
0023| or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year
|
0024| 1998 shall revert to the general fund.

0025| Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
|
0001| peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
