0011| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING,

0012| MONITORING AND ASSESSING HEALTH CONDITIONS AND HEALTH RISKS IN

0013| THE SAN JOSE COMMUNITY LOCATED IN BERNALILLO COUNTY.

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars
|
0017| ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
|
0018| department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for
|
0019| the purpose of conducting a monitoring and assessment program,
|
0020| with the San Jose community awareness council, inc., to study
|
0021| health conditions and to reduce environmental health risks to
|
0022| improve the quality of life in the San Jose community of
|
0023| Albuquerque located in Bernalillo county. This monitoring and
|
0024| assessing will assist in developing a health risk profile and
|
0025| will include maintaining a long-term database. Any unexpended
|
0001| or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year
|
0002| 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
