0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND AND ENHANCE ECONOMIC

0012|     SURVIVAL PROGRAMS OF THE SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE SCIENCE

0013|     CENTER IN ALCALDE.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--
    |
0017|               A.  Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is
    |
0018|     appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of
    |
0019|     New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0020|     1999 to expand and enhance economic survival programs of the
    |
0021|     sustainable agricultural science center in Alcalde.  The money
    |
0022|     shall be distributed in the following amounts to the following
    |
0023|     programs:
    |
0024|                    (1)  four hundred four thousand seven hundred
    |
0025|     eighty-five dollars ($404,785) to the cooperative extension
    |

0001|     service; and
    |
0002|                    (2)  ninety-five thousand two hundred        
    |
0003|     fifteen dollars ($95,215) to the agricultural experiment
    |
0004|     station.
    |
0005|               B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0006|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
    |
0007|     general fund.
