0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE EXPANSION OF ADULT BASIC

0012|     EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND SERVICES IN RURAL AREAS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0017|     the state department of public education for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal year 1999 to provide or contract for expansion of the
    |
0019|     adult basic education programs and services in rural areas of
    |
0020|     the state.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0021|     at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general
    |
0022|     fund.
