0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE

0012|     DISTRICT ATTORNEYS FOR THE PURPOSE OF HIRING ADDITIONAL STAFF

0013|     AND PURCHASING COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FOR DISTRICT ATTORNEYS'

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION. -
    |
0018|               A.  Three hundred ninety-one thousand seven hundred
    |
0019|     eighty-five dollars ($391,785) is appropriated from the
    |
0020|     general fund to the administrative office of the district
    |
0021|     attorneys for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for the purpose
    |
0022|     of hiring additional staff and purchasing computer equipment
    |
0023|     for district attorneys' offices.  The additional staff and
    |
0024|     computer equipment shall be used to enter data into the
    |
0025|     district attorneys' case management system. The appropriation
    |

0001|     shall be distributed by the administrative office of the
    |
0002|     district attorneys to the following district attorneys'
    |
0003|     offices in the following amounts and for the following
    |
0004|     purposes: 
    |
0005|                    (1)  twenty-six thousand one hundred nineteen
    |
0006|     dollars ($26,119) to the first judicial district attorney's
    |
0007|     office for one permanent full-time equivalent position and
    |
0008|     computer equipment;
    |
0009|                    (2)  fifty-two thousand two hundred thirty-
    |
0010|     eight dollars ($52,238) to the second judicial district
    |
0011|     attorney's office for two permanent full-time equivalent
    |
0012|     positions and computer equipment;
    |
0013|                    (3)  twenty-six thousand one hundred nineteen
    |
0014|     dollars ($26,119) to the third judicial district attorney's
    |
0015|     office for one permanent full-time equivalent position and
    |
0016|     computer equipment; 
    |
0017|                    (4)  twenty-six thousand one hundred nineteen
    |
0018|     dollars ($26,119) to the fourth judicial district attorney's
    |
0019|     office for one permanent full-time equivalent position and
    |
0020|     computer equipment;           
    |
0021|                    (5)  twenty-six thousand one hundred nineteen

0009|     attorney's office for one permanent full-time equivalent

0010|     position and computer equipment.
    |
0011|               B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0012|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
    |
0013|     general fund.
