0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Eighty-seven thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($87,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0018|     department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1999 for the purpose of funding one-time salary increases for

    |
0020|     national-board-certified instructional staff for services
    |
0021|     currently rendered.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0022|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
    |
0023|     general fund.
