0011|     MAKING APPROPRIATIONS AND AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES FOR STATE

0012|     GOVERNMENT.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifteen
    |
0016|     thousand dollars ($315,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0017|     fund to the legislative council service for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal year 1999 to establish a bureaucracy and accountability
    |
0019|     review staff and to pay salaries, employee benefits, travel,
    |
0020|     supplies and materials, contractual services, operating costs,
    |
0021|     other costs, capital outlay and out-of-state travel of the
    |
0022|     staff.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0023|     the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0024|          Section 2.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand
    |
0025|     dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |

0001|     the administrative office of the courts for expenditure in
    |
0002|     fiscal year 1999 to conduct a magistrate capital needs study. 
    |
0003|     Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0004|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0005|          Section 3.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0006|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office
    |
0007|     of the lieutenant governor for expenditure in fiscal year 1999
    |
0008|     to employ work force development monitors and to pay salaries,
    |
0009|     employee benefits, travel, supplies and materials, contractual
    |
0010|     services, operating costs, other costs, capital outlay and
    |
0011|     out-of-state travel of the staff.  Any unexpended or
    |
0012|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999
    |
0013|     shall revert to the general fund.
