0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  Section 36-1-6 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1976
    |
0016|     (S.S.), Chapter 18, Section 1, as amended) is amended to read:
    |
0017|          "36-1-6.  DISTRICT ATTORNEYS--SALARIES.--
    |
0018|               A.  Except as provided in Subsection B of this
    |
0019|     section, district attorneys shall receive an annual salary of
    |
0020|     <s>[seventy thousand two hundred sixty-five dollars ($70,265)]</s>
    |
0021|     <u>seventy-two thousand seven hundred twenty-five dollars
</u>    |
<u></u>0022| <u>    ($72,725)</u>.
    |
0023|               B.  District attorneys who serve in a district that
    |
0024|     includes a class A county within the district shall receive an
    |
0025|     annual salary of <s>[seventy-three thousand nine hundred sixty-
