0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE BLOCK BOUNDARY SUGGESTION

0012|     PROJECT IN PREPARATION FOR REDISTRICTING AFTER THE NEXT

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred seventy-five
    |
0017|     thousand dollars ($175,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0018|     fund to the legislative council service for expenditure in
    |
0019|     fiscal years 1998 through 2000 for phase 2 of the block
    |
0020|     boundary suggestion project in preparation for redistricting
    |
0021|     after the next federal decennial census.  Any unexpended or
    |
0022|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000
    |
0023|     shall revert to the general fund.
