A new section of the Ground Water Protection | 0017| Act is enacted to read: | 0018| "[NEW MATERIAL] GASOLINE DISTRIBUTORS--ENVIRONMENTAL | 0019| LICENSE--LICENSE FEE.-- | 0020| A. Any person registered as a distributor under | 0021| the provisions of the Gasoline Tax Act shall obtain an | 0022| environmental license from the department. The fee for the | 0023| environmental license is based on the total gallons received | 0024| less total gallons deducted pursuant to the Gasoline Tax Act | 0025| during the previous calendar year and is due on or before |

The fee shall be determined by the | 0002| following schedule: | 0003| More than But not more than the fee shall be: | 0004| -0- gallons 25,000 gallons $500.00 | 0005| 25,000 gallons 100,000 gallons $750.00 | 0006| 100,000 gallons 250,000 gallons $2,500.00 | 0007| 250,000 gallons 1,000,000 gallons $7,500.00 | 0008| 1,000,000 gallons 5,000,000 gallons $25,000.00 | 0009| 5,000,000 and over $50,000.00. | 0010| B. The department shall collect the environmental | 0011| license fees and distribute fifty percent of the revenue received | 0012| to the corrective action fund and fifty percent to the state road | 0013| fund." | 0014| Section 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the | 0015| provisions of this act is January 1, 1999. | 0016|  |
