0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE

0012|     DISTRICT ATTORNEYS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING AND

0013|     EXPANDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAMS IN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS'

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two million two hundred seven
    |
0018|     thousand eight hundred ninety-seven dollars ($2,207,897) is
    |
0019|     appropriated from the general fund to the administrative
    |
0020|     office of the district attorneys for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0021|     year 1999 for the purpose of hiring additional staff to
    |
0022|     establish and expand domestic violence programs in district
    |
0023|     attorneys' offices.  The appropriation shall be distributed by
    |
0024|     the administrative office of the district attorneys to the
    |
0025|     following district attorneys' offices in the following amounts
    |

0001|     and for the following purposes:

0002|                    (1)  two hundred thirty-six thousand one
    |
0003|     hundred thirty-three dollars ($236,133) to the first judicial
    |
0004|     district attorney's office for six permanent full-time-
    |
0005|     equivalent positions and operating expenses;
    |
0006|                    (2)  three hundred seventy-five thousand three
    |
0007|     hundred dollars ($375,300) to the second judicial district
    |
0008|     attorney's office for eight permanent full-time-equivalent
    |
0009|     positions and operating expenses;
    |
0010|                    (3)  one hundred twenty-three thousand four
    |
0011|     hundred fifty-one dollars ($123,451) to the third judicial
    |
0012|     district attorney's office for three permanent full-time-
    |
0013|     equivalent positions and operating expenses;
    |
0014|                    (4)  one hundred twenty-six thousand eight
    |
0015|     hundred nineteen dollars ($126,819) to the fourth judicial
    |
0016|     district attorney's office for three permanent full-time-
    |
0017|     equivalent positions and operating expenses;

0018|                    (5)  three hundred forty-one thousand six
    |
0019|     hundred ninety-four dollars ($341,694) to the fifth judicial
    |
0020|     district attorney's office for nine permanent full-time-
    |
0021|     equivalent positions and operating expenses;

0015|     two permanent full-time-equivalent positions and operating
    |

0018|     dollars ($68,700) to district attorney division 1 of the

0019|     eleventh judicial district attorney's office for one and one-
    |
0020|     half permanent full-time-equivalent positions and operating

0023|     dollars ($76,300) to district attorney division 2 of the
    |
0024|     eleventh judicial district attorney's office for two permanent
    |
0025|     full-time-equivalent positions and operating expenses;

0006|     hundred ninety-four dollars ($195,894) to the thirteenth
    |
0007|     judicial district attorney's office for five permanent full-
    |
0008|     time-equivalent positions and operating expenses.
    |
0009|               B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0010|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
    |
0011|     general fund.
