0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Thirty thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($30,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board
    |
0018|     of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in
    |
0019|     fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of assisting underrepresented
    |
0020|     students in transitioning from two- to four-year institutions
    |
0021|     of higher education.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0022|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
    |
0023|     general fund.
