0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECTS

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0018|     the office of the state engineer for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0019|     year 1999 for the purpose of investigating the effects of
    |
0020|     municipal and industrial withdrawals on the Animas and San
    |
0021|     Juan rivers.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0022|     at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general
    |
0023|     fund.
