  Mr. President:
  
      Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                    SENATE BILL 197, as amended
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
      1.  On page 1, line 22, before "public" strike "six" and
  insert in lieu thereof "three".
  
      2.  On page 1, lines 23 and 24, strike "two of whom shall be
  graduates of or current students at an alternative high school"
  and insert in lieu thereof "one of whom shall be a graduate of or
  current student at an alternative high school and one of whom
  shall be a graduate of or current student at a public high
  school".
  
      3.  On page 2, line 17, strike "speaker of the house of" and
  insert in lieu thereof "governor".
  
      4.  On page 2, strike lines 18 through 20 up to the period.
