0011|     MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR VARIOUS PROGRAMS IN SOUTHERN DONA

0012|     ANA COUNTY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION--EDUCATION PROGRAMS.--  
    |
0016|               A.  The following amounts are appropriated from the
    |
0017|     general fund to the state department of public education for
    |
0018|     expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for the following projects:
    |
0019|                    (1)  twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for the
    |
0020|     agriculture entrepreneurship program in various Gadsden public
    |
0021|     schools; and
    |
0022|                    (2)  forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000) for
    |
0023|     a parent training program in various Gadsden public schools.
    |
0024|               B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0025|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
    |

0001|     general fund.

0002|          Section 2.  APPROPRIATION--TEEN COURT.--Thirty thousand
    |
0003|     dollars ($30,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0004|     third judicial district for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 to
    |
0005|     support a teen court program at Gadsden high school.  Any
    |
0006|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0007|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0008|          Section 3.  APPROPRIATION--STATE AGENCY ON AGING.--
    |
0009|     Thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) is appropriated from
    |
0010|     the general fund to the state agency on aging for expenditure
    |
0011|     in fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of supporting the foster
    |
0012|     grandparents program in southern Dona Ana county.  Any
    |
0013|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0014|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0015|          Section 4.  APPROPRIATION--CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES
    |
0016|     DEPARTMENT.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000)
    |
0017|     is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth
    |
0018|     and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 1999
    |
0019|     for the purpose of providing family intervention and preschool
    |
0020|     programs in Sunland Park in Dona Ana county.  Any unexpended
    |
0021|     or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year
    |
0022|     1999 shall revert to the general fund.
