0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN ASSESSMENT OF A COMPUTER

0012|     NETWORK SYSTEM FOR SCHOOL BUS ROUTES.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board
    |
0017|     of regents of the university of New Mexico for the alliance
    |
0018|     for transportation research institute for expenditure in
    |
0019|     fiscal year 1999 to conduct an assessment of the program
    |
0020|     potential and resource requirement needs for creating a
    |
0021|     statewide computer networking system to optimize school bus
    |
0022|     routes.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0023|     the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
