0012| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR

0013| AT-RISK TEENAGE PARENTS.

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million seven hundred
|
0017| fifty-five thousand five hundred dollars ($3,755,500) is
|
0018| appropriated from the general fund to the vocational education
|
0019| division of the state department of public education for
|
0020| expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of providing
|
0021| high school education programs for at-risk teenage parents
|
0022| statewide. Funding shall be used to provide classes in basic
|
0023| parenting, nutrition and hygiene skills as well as child care
|
0024| for teenage parents. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
|
0025| remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
|
