0011|     MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO FUND INTERIM AND PRE-SESSION EXPENSES

0012|     OF THE LEGISLATURE; PROVIDING FOR LIMITED CATEGORY TRANSFERS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATIONS.--
    |
0016|               A.  There is appropriated from cash balances of the
    |
0017|     legislative council service to the legislative council service
    |
0018|     for fiscal year 1999, to be disbursed on vouchers signed by
    |
0019|     the director of the legislative council service, the
    |
0020|     following:
    |
0021|                    (1)  for travel expenses of legislators, other
    |
0022|     than legislative council members, on legislative council
    |
0023|     business for committee travel, staff and other necessary
    |
0024|     expenses, for other interim committees and for other necessary
    |
0025|     interim legislative expenses for fiscal year 1999, nine
    |

0001|     hundred thirty-five thousand seven hundred fifty dollars
    |
0002|     ($935,750);
    |
0003|                    (2)  for pre-session expenditures and for
    |
0004|     necessary contracts, supplies and personnel for interim
    |
0005|     session preparation, three hundred fifty-two thousand three
    |
0006|     hundred dollars ($352,300); and
    |
0007|                    (3)  for the interim duties of the senate
    |
0008|     rules committee, twenty-one thousand six hundred dollars
    |
0009|     ($21,600).
    |
0010|               B.  Money remaining from the appropriation of cash
    |
0011|     balances shall not revert at the end of fiscal year 1999.
    |
0012|          Section 2.  CATEGORY TRANSFER.--Amounts set out in
    |
0013|     categories in the appropriations for the legislative council
    |
0014|     service, legislative finance committee, legislative education
    |
0015|     study committee, house chief clerk's office and senate chief
    |
0016|     clerk's office in Laws 1998, Chapter 1 may only be transferred
    |
0017|     among categories within each agency.
