0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF THE TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY

0012|     FAMILIES BLOCK GRANT FOR JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($500,000) is appropriated from the temporary assistance for
    |
0017|     needy families block grant to the board of regents of western
    |
0018|     New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for
    |
0019|     the purpose of providing job training programs in areas with
    |
0020|     an unemployment rate of ten percent or greater.  Any
    |
0021|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0022|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
