0011|     MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR STATE CAPITAL PLANNING.

0013|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0014|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATIONS.--
    |
0015|               A.  The following amounts are appropriated from the
    |
0016|     general fund to the legislative council service for
    |
0017|     expenditure in fiscal years 1999 and 2000 for the capitol
    |
0018|     buildings planning commission to prepare or contract for state
    |
0019|     capital planning studies as follows:
    |
0020|                    (1)  one hundred fifty thousand dollars
    |
0021|     ($150,000) for a repair and replacement study, including:
    |
0022|                         (a)  physical inspection of state
    |
0023|     buildings in the capital;
    |
0024|                         (b)  inventory and evaluation of
    |
0025|     building systems; and
    |

0001|                         (c)  development of a repair and
    |
0002|     replacement fund; and
    |
0003|                    (2)  one hundred fifty thousand dollars
    |
0004|     ($150,000) for a master plan integrating city and county
    |
0005|     general plan provisions that affect state buildings in Santa
    |
0006|     Fe, including:
    |
0007|                         (a)  inventory of state buildings and
    |
0008|     land in the capital;
    |
0009|                         (b)  master site development plans of
    |
0010|     the various state building complexes and other state-owned
    |
0011|     property;
    |
0012|                         (c)  a locale and government growth
    |
0013|     impact study that identifies master plan alternatives; 
    |
0014|                         (d)  location assignment criteria for
    |
0015|     state agencies and employees; and
    |
0016|                         (e)  other components the capitol
    |
0017|     buildings planning commission deems necessary.
    |
0018|               B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0019|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the
    |
0020|     general fund.
