                      STATE OF NEW MEXICO
            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

                           REQUESTED BY
                            FRED LUNA             





FOR STREET, DRAINAGE AND LANDFILL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF BELEN IN
VALENCIA COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:
          
                    six hundred fifty thousand dollars ($650,000) to complete landfill closure as
          required by state and federal mandate in the city of Belen in Valencia county;

                    to the state highway and transportation department:
     
          A.  four hundred twenty thousand dollars ($420,000) for drainage master plan

projects in the city of Belen in Valencia county; and

          B.  five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for street reconstruction, including
paving and constructing sidewalks and gutters, in the city of Belen in Valencia county.
