HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 96 STATE OF NEW MEXICO 43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998 REQUESTED BY SAMUEL F. VIGIL FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY IN SAN MIGUEL COUNTY. I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded: to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university: A. three million eight hundred thousand dollars ($3,800,000) to acquire property and renovate Douglas school on the campus of New Mexico highlands university in San Miguel county; B. ten million dollars ($10,000,000) to renovate and expand the Lora Mangum Shield science building to address safety and code deficiencies and to design and construct a - 1 - new addition to accommodate a science and technology facility on the campus of New Mexico highlands university in San Miguel county; C. six million four hundred thousand dollars ($6,400,000) to acquire property and design and construct the social work building on the campus of New Mexico highlands university in San Miguel county; and D. six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) to complete the telecommunications infrastructure for New Mexico highlands university and add additional telecommunication capabilities to the library, dormitories and other academic buildings on the campus in San Miguel county.
