HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 300 STATE OF NEW MEXICO 43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998 REQUESTED BY RICK MIERA TO PURCHASE LAND AND PLAN, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT TWO CLASSROOMS FOR THE OPERATION OF AN ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR EXPELLED STUDENTS AND LONG-TERM SUSPENDED STUDENTS AT THE BERNALILLO COUNTY DETENTION CENTER IN ALBUQUERQUE. I request that the following capital outlay project be funded: to the state department of public education: four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to purchase land and plan, design and construct two classrooms for the operation of an alternative education program for expelled students and long-term suspended students at the Bernalillo county detention center in Albuquerque - 1 -
