                      STATE OF NEW MEXICO
            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

                           REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN ALBUQUERQUE IN BERNALILLO COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be
funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of
          finance and administration:
          
          A.  one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to design
and develop the East Atrisco park in Albuquerque in Bernalillo
county;

          B.  one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to design
<center>- 1 -</center>

and renovate Lavaland park, including a basketball court, play
area, water conservation measures and handicap access in
Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

          C.  one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) to
continue implementation of the master plan for Maloof airfield,
including handicap access and surfacing in Albuquerque in
Bernalillo county;

          D.  two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for
environmental design to reduce crime and vandalism in
neighborhoods in Bernalillo county; and

          E.  seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to design
and construct a median on Ouray boulevard in Albuquerque in
Bernalillo county; and






                    to the state agency on aging:
     
                    one hundred twelve thousand dollars ($112,000) to

          provide meals equipment for a nutrition program at
          senior centers in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county.
