                           REQUESTED BY
                       JIMMIE GARNENEZ SR.             





FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE COMMUNITY OF SAN JUAN IN SAN JUAN
COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be
funded:

                    to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs:
          
          A.  four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) to
plan, design, construct, equip or furnish a new community meeting
and government center in the community of San Juan in San Juan
county;

          B.  one million six hundred eighty thousand dollars
($1,680,000) to plan, design or construct the Hogback bridge or
access roads to that bridge in San Juan county;

          C.  three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for
preconstruction or to begin construction of an electrification
project in the community of San Juan in San Juan county;

          D.  one million dollars ($1,000,000) to improve school
bus routes near the community of San Juan in San Juan county; and

          E.  seven hundred sixty-two thousand three hundred
dollars ($762,300) to plan, design, construct, equip or furnish a
head start facility in San Juan in San Juan county.
