            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN GUADALUPE COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the department of environment:
                    
          A.  three hundred eighty thousand dollars ($380,000) for engineering services,
test wells and distribution system replacement and improvements to the Puerto de Luna water
distribution system in Guadalupe county;

          B.  one hundred sixty-four thousand eight hundred twenty-eight thousand dollars
($164,828) for an eastside wastewater facility replacement and improvement project in Santa
<center>- 1 -</center>

Rosa in Guadalupe county;

          C.  four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) for a solid waste facility transfer
station and equipment for Santa Rosa in Guadalupe county; and

          D.  six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) for a wastewater facility expansion
and replacement project in Santa Rosa in Guadalupe county;

                    to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:

          A.  four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) for to acquire property and to
design, construct and equip a public safety building in Santa Rosa in Guadalupe county; and

          B.  four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) for improvements to Joe Gutierrez
park in Santa Rosa in Guadalupe county.
