FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO
IN BERNALILLO, VALENCIA AND TAOS COUNTIES.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be
funded:

                    to the board of regents of the university of New
          Mexico:
          
          A.  thirteen million dollars ($13,000,000) to plan,
design, construct, equip and furnish a science and technology
complex on the main campus of the university of New Mexico in
Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

          B.  nine million dollars ($9,000,000) to plan, design,
construct, equip and furnish an architecture building on the main
campus of the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in
Bernalillo county;

          C.  six hundred twelve thousand dollars ($612,000) for
the office of the medical investigator to renovate the state
laboratory at the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in
Bernalillo county;

          D.  one million dollars ($1,000,000) to renovate and
remodel the community and student center complex at the Valencia
branch of the university of New Mexico in Valencia county; and

          E.  one million one hundred twenty-five thousand
dollars ($1,125,000) for phase two of the construction of the
academic and student services building at the Taos education
center of the university of New Mexico in Taos county; and


          F.  three million one hundred fifty thousand dollars
($3,150,000) to plan, design, construct, equip and furnish phase
two of the child-care center on the main campus of the university
of New Mexico in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county.
