SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 84 STATE OF NEW MEXICO 43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998 REQUESTED BY STUART INGLE FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF PORTALES IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY. I request that the following capital outlay project be funded: to the state highway and transportation department: A. one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to improve Avenue O, South highway to Cherry street, in the city of Portales in Roosevelt county; B. two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for curb, gutter and asphalt paving on Kilgore, from Third street to Seventieth street, in the city of Portales in Roosevelt county;

C. two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to widen Floyd highway and extend city limits to Country club road in the city of Portales in Roosevelt county; D. one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for curb and gutter replacement at southern Avenue O, from Eighteenth street to the Portales city limits in Roosevelt county; E. one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) for a traffic light at Main and Second streets in the city of Portales in Roosevelt county; F. seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to improve the storm water channel at Industrial drive near the recreation complex in the city of Portales in Roosevelt county; G. one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to develop a storm water retention pond on Avenue O in the city of Portales in Roosevelt county; and H. seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) for a railroad crossing on Industrial drive and U.S. highway 70 in the city of Portales in Roosevelt county; and to the local government division of the department of finance and administration: A. thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) to purchase park equipment for the city of Portales in Roosevelt county;

B. fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to purchase an airport fuel truck for the city of Portales in Roosevelt county; C. one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for new lights and resurfacing of the tennis court in the city of Portales in Roosevelt county; D. seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to construct an animal shelter at the police department in the city of Portales in Roosevelt county; E. thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) to purchase an animal control vehicle for the city of Portales in Roosevelt county; and F. two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to purchase a rescue and pumper truck for the fire department in the city of Portales in Roosevelt county.
