                      STATE OF NEW MEXICO
            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 2 IN SAN JUAN COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the department of environment:
          
          A.  two hundred eighty-one thousand dollars ($281,000) to make additions and
improvements to the wastewater treatment plant in the city of Aztec in San Juan county; and

          B.  five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to make additions and
improvements to the water treatment plant in Bloomfield in San Juan county;

                    to the state highway and transportation department:

                    fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for the intersection project at state road 44 and
          county road 4990, including acceleration lanes and signal devices, in San Juan
          county;

                    to the state department of public education:
     
                    one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for roof repairs at the Bloomfield
          public schools in San Juan county; and

                    to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:
     
          A.  two hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($225,000) to construct a
multipurpose family center in northeast San Juan county; and

          B.  fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for improvements to the La Plata community
center in San Juan county.
