            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be
funded:

                    to the department of environment:

          A.  one million five hundred thousand dollars
($1,500,000) for the plan, design and construction of a water
system in La Union located in Dona Ana county; and

          B.  fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for the
construction of the Chaparral channel and pond project located in
<center>- 1 -</center>

Dona Ana county; and               
                    to the state highway and transportation department:

          A.  two hundred fifty-five thousand dollars ($255,000)
for the construction of the Mesquite Colonia access road located
in Dona Ana county;

          B.  one hundred eighty-seven thousand five hundred
dollars ($187,500) for the construction of Amparo road located in
Dona Ana county;

          C.  seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) for the re-
construction to double penetration surfacing of Desert Aire road
in Dona Ana county;

          D.  one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for
the re-construction to double penetration of Berino road in Dona
Ana county; and

          E.  eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) for the re-
construction to double penetration of Hermosa drive located in
Dona Ana county.
