0011|     MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAMS;

0012|     DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATIONS.--
    |
0016|               A.  Six million dollars ($6,000,000) is
    |
0017|     appropriated from the general fund to the development training
    |
0018|     fund for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 and subsequent fiscal
    |
0019|     years for a development training program providing classroom
    |
0020|     and in-plant training to furnish qualified manpower resources
    |
0021|     for certain new or expanding industries and businesses in the
    |
0022|     state.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0023|     the end of any fiscal year shall not revert to the general
    |
0024|     fund. 
    |
0025|               B.  Seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) is
    |

0001|     appropriated from the general fund to the economic development
    |
0002|     department for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for program
    |
0003|     administration of the development training fund.  Any
    |
0004|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0005|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0006|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0007|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0008|     immediately.
