0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR LEGISLATIVE INTERIM EXPENSES; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0013|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0014|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred eighty-six thousand dollars ($886,000)
    |
0015|     from the general fund and two hundred seventy-four thousand dollars ($274,000) from
    |
0016|     legislative council service cash balances are appropriated to the legislative council service
    |
0017|     for expenditure in fiscal years 1998 and 1999 for legislative interim expenses.  Any
    |
0018|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall not
    |
0019|     revert to the general fund.
    |
0020|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety
    |
0021|     that this act take effect immediately.
