0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS RULEMAKING AND

0012|     RATE SETTING; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0017|     corporation commission for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for
    |
0018|     costs associated with telecommunications rulemaking and rate
    |
0019|     setting.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0020|     the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0021|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0022|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0023|     immediately.
