0010|                          A JOINT RESOLUTION

0011|     PROPOSING THE SALE OF CATHEDRAL PARK TO THE CITY OF SANTA FE.

0013|          WHEREAS, Section 13-6-3 NMSA 1978 requires ratification
    |
0014|     and approval of any sale, trade or lease of property for a
    |
0015|     period exceeding twenty-five years in duration or of a value
    |
0016|     of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) or more; and
    |
0017|          WHEREAS, the property control division of the general
    |
0018|     services department was requested by the legislature to
    |
0019|     negotiate with the city of Santa Fe to sell Cathedral park to
    |
0020|     the city; and
    |
0021|          WHEREAS, an agreement has been reached for the city to
    |
0022|     purchase the park for two hundred eighty thousand dollars
    |
0023|     ($280,000); and
    |
0024|          WHEREAS, the agreed value represents its value as a park
    |
0025|     and not as a commercially developed property; and

0001|          WHEREAS, the city of Santa Fe agrees to maintain
    |
0002|     Cathedral park as a park and to maintain it for the enjoyment
    |
0003|     of all citizens and visitors;
    |
0004|          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE
    |
0005|     STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the general services department be
    |
0006|     authorized pursuant to Section 13-6-3 NMSA 1978 to sell
    |
0007|     Cathedral park to the city of Santa Fe for two hundred eighty
    |
0008|     thousand dollars ($280,000); and
    |
0009|          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be
    |
0010|     transmitted to the secretary of general services and to the
    |
0011|     mayor of the city of Santa Fe.
