MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND STAFF OR POSITIONS AT THE SECONDARY SCHOOL LEARNING CENTER FOR DROP-OUT PREVENTION IN THE SANTA FE SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of funding staff or positions at the secondary school learning center for drop-out prevention in the Santa Fe school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
